Shamriz’s laboratory of inborn errors of immunity
The laboratory will investigate inborn diseases of the immune system, including primary immunodeficiencies and immune dysregulation disorders.
The laboratory will apply a range of immunological methods, including cell cultures, lymphocyte activation assays, work with cell lines, and mouse models.
The overarching goal of the laboratory is to achieve a deep mechanistic understanding of inborn immune diseases through a “from patient’s bedside to bench and back to the patient” approach, in order to develop pathway-targeted therapies and thereby advance knowledge and treatment for these complex patients.
